Centro Interamericano de Estudios de Seguridad Social (CIESS): es el órgano de docencia, capacitación e investigación de la CISS, a cargo de un Director electo por la Asamblea general cada 3 años.<br/><br/>La creación del CIESS fue producto de la necesidad planteada por las instituciones afiliadas a la CISS, de contar con un espacio permanente para la capacitación en seguridad social. Desde su creación, sus programas docentes se han caracterizado por su adaptación permanentemente a las necesidades que marcan la evolución y el desarrollo que ha tenido la seguridad social a nivel nacional y regional. Esta permanente actualización en su labor de formación ha hecho posible que, a lo largo de su existencia, se consagre como un foro vigente de discusión y análisis, donde todas las ideas y las doctrinas pueden ser escuchadas.<br/><br/>Dentro de las riquezas que caracterizan a sus actividades académicas, se puede mencionar que abordan, desde una visión interdisciplinaria, las peculiaridades más trascendentes de la seguridad social continental, estudiando cada uno de los temas desde sus puntos de partida hasta los procesos de reforma de que han sido objeto. Para ello, se cuenta con una cartera de especialistas procedentes de organismos internacionales, universidades y centros de investigación, instituciones del sector público y privado de la región, así como de los distintos órganos de la CISS. |
