Se trata de una crítica mordaz a la descomposición social, moral, política, familiar, religiosa, educativa, ética e institucional en la Republica Dominicana. El escritor se vale de una memoria viva para narrar los hechos que, en una secuenciación simétrica, pone ante el lector como testimonio, verdad y ficción. El novelista ha buscado y ha encontrado un testigo, un narrador implicado, conocedor del espacio elegido por el autor: el barrio Capotillo de la extensa e intensa ciudad de Santo Domingo. A la vez Princesa de Capotillo es un nuevo aporte literario que contribuye a entender oscuros y bestiales submundos que componen la sociedad dominicana de este tiempo, increíblemente variopinta y sorpréndete. |
