| General note | Resulta de interés, para el estudio de las evaluación poblacional de la República Dominicana, el levantamiento de los censos, empadronamientos, las estadísticas del estado civil y de las escolaridad registradas por los municipios y la Iglesia Católica, durante el último cuarto del siglo xix. Si bien es cierto que fue en ese perío cuando sectores intensados iniciaron la recolección estadígrafas con el objetivo de alcanzar el conocimiento del censo general del país, por lo menos a ese nivel los esfuerzos fueron infructuosos y hubo que esperar hasta 1920 para que así sucediera. |
